Courses & Programs


Jr. Kindergarten


OVERVIEW

  • Our Junior Kindergarten program is designed for children who are four (4) years old by September 1st of their enrolling year and/or for those “young” five (5) year olds who would benefit from a year of preparation before entering our challenging Kindergarten program.
  • We provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment in which the individual needs of each student will be met in a variety of ways, acknowledging all learning styles.
  • Students will be given the opportunity to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, academically, and physically.
  • We will use Abeka, the nationally known Christian curriculum, as the framework for the class, supplementing it with additional appropriate curriculum.
  • Students will learn Biblical truths, beginning with the fact that God loves them and Jesus died for them; Math, Language Arts, and Pre-reading skills. They will also experience creative play time, regular arts and crafts activities, and healthy physical activity.

BIBLE (Christ and My Choices – 5th Grade Student)

An Old Testament overview through the lives of Old Testament characters. The choices made by these individuals, whether right or wrong, are the focus of the study. People to be studied include Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Deborah, Samson, Ruth, Samuel, David, Solomon, Daniel, Jeremiah, and others.

BIBLE (Christ and My Choices – 6th Grade Student)

A New Testament overview focusing on familiar passages which have strong principles for life application. Specific topics include redemption, relationships, the Lordship of Christ, managing feelings, thoughts, and choices, staying strong and growing in the faith, and final events.

MATH (Saxon Course I)

A complete standards-based curriculum that is structured for mastery learning. Mastery is time to learn, time to process, and time to practice.
  • Daily Power-Up to strengthen and build the foundation of math.
  • New concepts presented in small increments and distributed across the year so no concepts or skills get dropped.
  • Daily cumulative written practice supported by rich mathematical conversations build the depth of understanding.

LANGUAGE ARTS (Easy Grammer/Supplemental)

Students are asked to delete prepositional phrases in order to help understand other concepts. In addition to grammar concepts, capitalization, punctuation, sentence types, phrases/clauses, and friendly/business letters are included. Ample practice worksheets are offered for each skill.

ENGLISH - EASY GRAMMER PLUS:

EASY WRITING
